Sheila Sturrock’s step-by-step process for plotting Celtic spirals is clear, simple and successful. From a base of circles, two-, three- and four-ribbon spirals can be drawn perfectly every time. Create fret and maze patterns by ‘squaring off’ your spirals and develop ley patterns by starting from triangles.
Once the basic principle has been understood, you can combine and adapt designs to create your own unique Celtic patterns.
Sheila Sturrock regularly gives workshops in paper-related crafts. She is the author of two other GMC Publications titles: Celtic Knotwork Designs (1997) and Celtic Knotwork Handbook (1999)
